| In April 2017, Amy went to Nepal as a volunteer artist to serve at the Leprosy Rehab Centre Shanti Sewa Griha (www.shanti-leprahilfe.de). She engaged with children and adults, painted their portraits, and along with other volunteers, coordinated the making of a sculptural work called a “peace dove”. Using Nepali paper as feathers for the peace dove, children were instructed to paint spontaneously on the paper and later to paste the paper onto the sculpture.
